Join us to hear more about the RTPI South West Planning Excellence Awards 2017 winning project – WaterSpace Bath.

Bath RiversideThe WaterSpace Project aims to improve and encourage development along waterways across the Bath area, won the top award at 2017’s Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) South West Regional Awards for Planning Excellence. The Project is a partnership between Bath and North East Somerset Council, the Canal & River Trust, the Environment Agency and Wessex Water. Major initiatives were undertaken to consult stakeholders, including the boating community moored on the river and canal. Bath’s river corridor is a focus for regeneration and growth and work to create a new public park and flood defense have recently been completed as of the Council led Bath Quays development.

This event will take attendees on a walking tour (1.5 hours) of the new Quays Waterside Park, Riverside Linear Park and Bath Riverside Development, which runs through the heart of Bath’s Enterprise Zone.
