It is now just over two years since the transition of planning powers to local authorities and the requirement to undertake Pre-Application Community Consultation (PACC)on major or regionally significant planning applications was introduced.
This half day event, run in partnership with The Consultation Institute and its local partner TCI Engagement, will consider how the legislative requirements are helping to shape places with the help of the local community and other stakeholders.
This event will also consider best practice from across the water, and how these lessons can contribute to improving the planning process and standards.
- Irene Kennedy, Department for Infrastructure, Planning Policy Division - The story so far: development management and local development frameworks
- Rhion Jones, Director, The Consultation Institute - The evolution of best practice consultation in a world of rising expectations
- Victoria Oliveira, Co-Founder, TCI Engagement - Innovative techniques, key skills and challenges for a consultation exercise
- Dr Louise O'Kane, Community Places - Who is the community? Are they being appropriately consulted? What are the challenges 'on the ground'?
This event is part of our CPD season ticket programme.
Booking is essential and the closing date for bookings is 25th May.
