A Midsummer’s Night Ramble on Dumyat Hill

A Central Chapter Event

Thursday, 21 June 2018 at 5:30PM - 9:00PM
Dumyat, Ochils, Near Stirling
RTPI Scotland

The RTPI Central Scotland Chapter will be holding a summer evening walk on Thursday 21st June at Dumyat Hill in the Ochills. The more eroded and/or boggy sections of the path have been recently upgraded under the Beauly-Denny Powerline Visual Mitigation Scheme, so it’s good ‘going’ most of the way, though there are some craggier sections on the final stretch to the summit.

It’s about 4 miles in total, with expansive views over the Carse of Stirling, along the Forth Estuary and over the surrounding hills. Please wear stout footwear and dress for the weather.

Walk Highlands give you a good description of the nature of the walk:

Meeting point
Meet at Pendreich Car Park, Sherrifmuir Road, Nr Bridge of Allan at 5.30 - 6.00pm for hot rolls and light refreshments with the walk commencing thereafter. Return to car park 8.30 - 9.00pm

Please contact Richard Callender at or on 01786 233662 if you are interested in attending. Please also indicate dietary requirements and advise if you need a lift as we will be coordinating car- sharing nearer the time.

Free to RTPI members

£5 for non-RTPI members to cover catering costs.
