Programme Description

Planning and transportation are intrinsically linked in the delivery of sustainable developments.  This event will consider the importance of considering transportation in plan making and decision taking within the planning process.  It will consider how strategic transport infrastructure should integrate and contribute to sustainable spatial planning, good practice in preparing local transport policies, how transport impact should be assessed, and how to plan to promote and engender modal shift.  The event will be of interest to planners, transport professionals, and developers with an interest in the transport planning.
