RTPI North West in partnership with the University of Manchester are assisting a research study on current and emerging initiatives in the direct provision of housing.  The study is being undertaken by Janice Morphet of UCL and is funded by the National Planning Forum (NPF) and the RTPI.  The project lasts for the whole of 2017 and will include a survey and the creation of a public database of local authority types of engagement.  The project also has the support of a number of other bodies including the RICS, RIBA and CIPFA.

This is a roundtable event to share your views and experience on the methods and challenges of local authority housing provision in the North West and its relationship to planning.
