Centre for Life, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4EP
RTPI North East

This event will be a wide ranging review on how the planning system can assist in delivering healthy sustainable communities for all, including the more vulnerable members of society.  It will consider the role of greenspace, recreation and leisure in meeting the needs of healthy communities.  It will also include the urban design and welfare requirements needed to address the housing, transport and other needs of the more vulnerable groups of the community, such as the elderly, necessary as part of the provisions of a caring society.
