SE Scotland Chapter Event

Thursday, 23 February 2017 at 12:30PM - 2:00PM
Urban Room, City of Edinburgh Council, Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street, Edinburgh EH8 8BG, UK
RTPI Scotland

The talk will include looking at contaminated land sites and challenges from a planning perspective, from initial assessment (site history, potential environmental constraints which might impact site viability) through to detailed site investigation (and the importance of investigation which can heavily influence recommendations and development costs).

The talk is aimed at planners who come across contaminated land considerations as part of their work and need a better appreciation of the subject and how it informs the work that they do.

The talk will be given by Resource Environmental Consultants (REC) Phil Thompson (Senior Consultant – Land) supported by Owen Stevens (Technical Director – Land). Rob Whittle (Director) will also attend. REC is a national environmental consultancy with Scotland operations based out of Glasgow and Edinburgh – who major in contaminated land assessment and other environmental fields.
