Booking onto an Event

Can I get a reduced price for booking early?

Yes, with our early bird special, if you book by end February 2020 you can get 15% off any booking for 2020. This applies to the annual programme of all RTPI Training events and all Regional events. For other events e.g. The Planner Live 2020, there will be a one-off early bird promotion nearer the time of the event. 

Can I reserve places in advance?

No, it is a first come, first serve system. In order to guarantee a booking you will either need to make a payment upfront or request an invoice (if over £500). You will need to have paid off the invoice prior to attending the event.

Can I book more than one person onto an event?

Yes, in most cases you can book several places on just one event in a single transaction, assuming there are places available. You will need to have your colleague's details when you are making the booking. 

Can I book onto more than one event at a time?

No. The system only allows for multiple bookings to be made on one event at a time. To make further bookings, simply return to the events calendar and repeat the process for any other events you wish to book places on.

How do I know if my booking has been successful?

Once you have completed the online booking process and entered your payment details via PayPal, a receipt will be emailed to you confirming your place and that your payment has been successful. You will also receive an email with further joining  instructions closer to the time of the event from your event organiser. If you have not received an email please check your junk mail and then contact your events  organiser.

What do I do if an event is shown as full?

When an event is marked as 'Fully Booked' you can contact your regional coordinator (for regional events) or the RTPI Training team (for UK events) and request to be put onto the event's waiting list.  If a place becomes available you will be contacted and given the option to book if you still wish to.  

I don't have an email address, can I still book online?

A valid email address is required in order for us to reconfirm the booking online.  If you do not have an email address, please contact your regional coordinator (for regional events) or the RTPI Training team (for UK events) to enquire about your booking.

Do I have to use the online booking system?

Yes, the online booking system is the only way to book a place. If you have any problems please phone 020 7929 9494

I am not a Member of the RTPI - am I still able to register for the event online?

Yes.  If an event is open to non-members, there will be a non-member category for bookings, or a single category for both members and non-members.

 I am not a Member of the RTPI –but I wish to make a booking for someone who is.  How can I book at the reduced rate?

To book places at the reduced RTPI member rate, you will need to log in using an RTPI member's membership number and password.

Payment

Why have I been redirected to PayPal?

In order for the RTPI to accept payment by credit and debit cards online the payments must go through an ISP (Internet Service Provider). PayPal has been chosen as our Internet Service Provider. You will be automatically redirected to PayPal's site to complete your payment.

Do I need to sign up for a PayPal account?

No, so long as you have not completed more than 10 PayPal transactions using the same card.    

When will I receive my receipt?

Once you have registered for an event using our online booking system, a receipt will be emailed to you confirming your payment and place. The receipt will be sent to the email address you provided at the time of your booking

Can I request an invoice? 

You can request an invoice if the total amount including VAT is more than £500 


Cancellations and Transfers

How do I cancel my place on the event?

Once a booking has been made, it is necessary to contact your regional coordinator (for regional events) or the RTPI Training team (for UK events) to cancel your place.  Standard terms and conditions apply at the time of booking.

 Can I transfer my place at an event to someone else?

Yes.  You will need to notify your regional coordinator (for regional events) or the RTPI Training team (for UK events) of this change.  There may be an additional charge if the replacement delegate is not eligible for the place booked e.g. if a non-member is attending in place of an RTPI member.

Can I transfer my booking to another event?

If you are unable to attend an event you have booked and paid for and would like to transfer to another event, please contact your regional coordinator (for regional events) or the RTPI Training team (for UK events) who will advise if this is possible.
