Andrew is a Chartered Town Planner in our Real Estate department. He specialises in planning matters and undertakes a range of development management, planning policy and enforcement work.
Andrew became a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 1996 and has been a planning consultant with Ward Hadaway for more than 20 years. He has worked throughout the north of the country and beyond undertaking planning work. Previously he was a planning officer with three local planning authorities. Additionally he has had a period of secondment with a national house builder. Clients include developers, businesses, estates, land owners, pressure groups and private individuals. Andrew is NEPRO accredited and additionally has had instructions from public sector organisations including councils, NHS Trusts and CCGs.
Andrew has particular expertise in cases which are contentious and where there are difficult policy, legal and technical issues.

Kamran is a Partner and jointly heads up the Planning Team at Ward Hadaway specialising in all areas of planning highways and compulsory purchase law covering both contentious and non-contentious matters. He is ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners as an expert in his field.
He jointly heads a large multi-disciplinary team of lawyers, chartered planners and technicians all of whom are focussed on addressing the planning and infrastructure needs of a broad client base. Kamran is particularly experienced at balancing the interests of the private and public sectors, whether that is in relation to the provision of new housing, major infrastructure, regeneration projects or mixed use schemes.

Carolyn specialises in all areas of contentious and non-contentious planning, compulsory purchase and highways law and acts for a range of clients spanning public, private and voluntary sector bodies. A large part of Carolyn’s practice involves advising national housebuilders and social housing providers in respect of a range of planning issues arising on development sites.

Craig is currently a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer at North Yorkshire Council, and was previously the NAPE Chair of England Representative for enforcement officers. He has previously held roles as an enforcement officer at Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council and South Oxfordshire District Council and has been involved in enforcement since 2012 following graduating from University with a Master’s Degree in Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Sheffield. Craig has played an active role within NAPE by being an author of a number of sections of the new Enforcement Handbook, and editor of the Enforcement Beginners Guide all produced by the RTPI. Whilst being the NAPE Chair he was a key contributor to changes to the enforcement system which were introduced by the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill 2023.”

Gregory Jones KC specialises in administrative, environmental, EU and planning law.
Appearing at both planning appeals and in the higher courts, Gregory acts on behalf of developers, local planning authorities, the government and third parties.
Gregory is a member of the Silks' Panel to the Welsh Government. He is also a Legal Associate of the RTPI and sits on its Appeals Committee. Gregory is the author/editor of a number of leading texts on the SEA Directive, Habitats Directive, Statutory Nuisance and a forthcoming handbook on the NPPF.

Alexander’s planning practice spans all types of housing development, local development plans, minerals and waste, planning enforcement and retail schemes.
Alexander regularly appears at planning inquiries, examinations in public and in the courts on related matters. Through secondments at Westminster City Council and the London Borough of Bexley he has also gained a valuable insight into the operation of local government, advising planning committees and officers on a wide variety of matters.
He is a contributor to a forthcoming NPPF Handbook, where he has been involved in drafting the housing chapter.
