What is the difference between bitesize and in-depth modules?

Courses are available in both bitesize and in-depth modules.
Bitesize modules take 30 minutes – 1 hour to complete.
In-depth modules provide up to 15 hours of learning.
All of the modules can be taken at your own pace over several sittings.

I want to redo a course I did some time ago

Once you are registered on RTPI Learn, you can access any course you have registered for as many times as you want. This means that you can go back and revise areas that you are unsure of or simply to review information you want to revisit or which you may have overlooked.

What is the RTPI Core CPD Framework?

RTPI Learn modules have been designed to meet topics from the RTPI Core CPD Framework. The framework provides RTPI members with an overview of key professional skills and knowledge for planners.

Do I receive any formal confirmation of course completion or CPD certificate?

We do not assign CPD points or CPD hours to a learning activity, as you as a professional, are best placed to identify how much learning you have gained from an activity. You can print out a certificate of achievement for your own records but you are not required to submit this to the RTPI.

How do I know that a section of the course has been completed?

Make sure that you have completed all quizzes within the course and that these are ticked off and that all sections, including the introduction have a tick on them. If they do not, then please return to that unit and complete it until a tick appears. If a tick fails to appear and the problem persists, please contact rtpilearn@rtpi.org.uk.

The webpage keeps crashing or I am unable to continue

If this occurs, please contact us immediately at rtpilearn@rtpi.org.uk and we will look to correct any error.

I am not an RTPI member; can I register for RTPI Learn?

RTPI Learn is free to register for everyone but the emphasis is very much on planning so it is most relevant for those working within the planning profession or with an interest in planning.

I would like to do further training
