Are you committed to the maintenance of high standards of professional conduct?

10 December 2015

The RTPI is looking to recruit at least one RTPI member and one other professional to act as a lay member, whose area of expertise has a professional connection with town planning (eg, an architect, surveyor, highway engineer) to join the Conduct and Discipline Panel on a voluntary basis.

Mark Ford MRTPI, Chair, RTPI Conduct & Discipline Panel said:

“Volunteering on the panel offers important experience and exposure to a range of complicated ethical and professional issues. The Panel’s work is an important part of the RTPI’s role in maintaining the high standards of professional conduct we’ve all come to expect of RTPI members. The cases that come before the panel are challenging to determine and this experience has certainly helped shape my thinking and improved my decision making. ”

Appointees would normally serve three year terms with the possibility of a further three year term. The Panel meets four times a year in London and travel expenses are reimbursed.

Applications close 18 January 2016.
