Associate, Legal Associate and Licentiate members (United Kingdom/Republic of Ireland)

2022 reduced subscription claim form 

If your income before any tax (gross income) for the 12 months ended 31 December 2021 is below the threshold (£26,900) or if you are taking parental leave, or if you are on means tested benefits then you may be entitled to a reduced subscription fee. Income includes your earnings, state benefits, pensions, private insurance, interest or dividends received from investments or any other income. Please note: you may be asked to provide evidence. 

This form is not for retired members. If you are fully retired and no longer receive payment for any planning work, you may wish to transfer to the Retired Members class and pay the minimum fee of £64. Life membership for retired members is available for a one-off fee of £795. Please note: No member is automatically transferred to the Retired Members class; you will need to complete a form to apply to transfer. 

1. UK/ROI rates apply to members resident within the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands as at 1 January 2022.

2. Income, before taxes, from all sources during the 12 months ended December 2021.

3. Parental leave applies if you are the parent and are taking leave as a primary carer in 2021 or 2022. It cannot be claimed for the same pregnancy or adoption twice.

4. In receipt of UK means tested benefits as at 1 January 2022. UK means tested benefits include Income Support, Jobseeker’s Allowance, Employment Support, Pension Credit, Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.
