Yorkshire Young Planners
Young Planners in Yorkshire can join YORnet, a network for young built environment professionals in Yorkshire. YORnet is a multi-disciplinary network attached to Concourse (The Leeds Centre for Art, Architecture, Construction, Landscape, Planning and Urban Design) whose aim is to provide a forum within which young planners, architects, engineers, surveyors, landscape architects and other young professionals in the Yorkshire region can develop their interest in planning, regeneration and design and also socialise and share experiences. The focus of the network will be on Leeds initially and will then be spread throughout the region.
YORnet has just launched a group blog on the social networking website Facebook. We've also created a new events page for this website where you can read about past events and find out what's coming up next.
How to join
You don’t have to be a member of a professional institute (i.e RTPI, RIBA, RICS, ICE, LI etc) to join the network. It is free to register onto the e-mailing list.
What are the benefits of joining?
- To create opportunity for networking and to meet people with similar interests
- To create a forum for debate and discussion with CPD programme of speakers and exhibitions
- To allow more opportunities for building friendships and contacts with other built environment professionals early in your career
- To provide an opportunity for students of built environment degree courses to meet and engage with young professionals
