Policy
The RTPI aims to lead policy debates, establish new approaches and influence the policies of others. The policy team keeps the development of planning legislation and policy under review and ensures the consistent application of RTPI policy on a wide range of topics.
Our policy statements set out RTPI policy. Policy statements set out corporate RTPI policy positions as well as providing leadership and proactively influence the development of spatial planning policy and practice.
Our completed policy responses set out the RTPI position on government and other consultations relevant to spatial planning. Members can view the current policy response work programme and make a contribution.
We communicate our policy work to stakeholders through lobbying, the media and this website.
