Hon. Treasurer
Martin Elliot

Following the cessation of regional plan making Martin established his own consultancy and works for local authority and private sector clients. Martin is a planning all-rounder but has a particular focus on plan-making and strategic matters and has advised councils on the duty to cooperate and the NPPF. He also led the preparation of a Regional Study on Renewable Energy, continues to have a keen interest in climate change issues and is working with the Town and Country Planning Association to deliver training in the region.
Martin lives in Harrogate with his wife and two young girls. When not planning or entertaining his kids, Martin has a keen interest in film, snooker, cooking and opera.
