Chris DuffillChris Duffill is a chartered town planner with more than twenty years experience in both the public and private sectors. He was formerly a Director of EDAW (now part of the AECOM Group) and Shared Intelligence prior to establishing Urbis Regeneration, a new consultancy practice, in 2011.

Following a brief stint in local government development management, much of the early part of Chris's career was spent working for planning consultancies Conran Roche and EDAW. Chris played a key role in developing the Grainger Town Regeneration Strategy for the historic core of Newcastle City Centre (for the City Council, English Partnerships and English Heritage), helping to secure £40m of public sector funding that underpinned one of the UKs most successful city centre regeneration programmes.

In recent years much of Chris's work has focused on local economic development and regeneration programmes. He worked as part of the team which developed the first two Regional Economic Strategies for the North East and has led major evaluations for clients including One North East, Yorkshire Forward, the South West Regional Development Agency and recently for Invest Northern Ireland.

In the early 1990s Chris was a member of the RTPI South East and RTPI Scotland branch executives. He is a new member of the RTPI Yorkshire Regional Activities Committee for 2012.
