West Midlands Urban Design Forum

WMUDF is the name of the specialist activity group for urban design attached to the RTPI West Midlands Region. The Forum is a group of like-minded urban design enthusiasts who are passionate about raising the standards of good design across the West Midlands. The membership includes over 70 members from a variety of backgrounds within the West Midlands ranging from public and private practitioners to arts professionals and students.

The Forums purpose is to provide an environment for professional support, discussing regional urban design issues, sharing learning and maintaining important professional links. The Forum meets quarterly through a variety of events, with the Annual General Meeting taking place around February each year when those holding the roles of chair and vice-chair change over.

This year we aim to:

Provide specific training opportunities to improve urban design skills within the planning profession.

Promote joint working with other professional bodies within the built environment sector.

You can email the Forum - we would welcome and be pleased to respond to any enquiries you may have! Also please send us an email if you would like to become a member of the Forum and be updated on our future events.

All members are encouraged to send any ideas and suggestions for future WMUDF events.
