Scottish Election 2016

RTPI Scotland Manifesto

RTPI Scotland published its Manifesto for the 2016 Scottish parliamentary elections, Planning in the Next Parliament: Building a Successful and Sustainable Scotland, on 8th December 2015. This was distributed to all RTPI members in Scotland through issue #164 of Scottish Planner, which was published later in December.

We also invited all five main parties to set out their perspectives on the role of Planning and planners in the next parliament. These were published in March 2016 in issue #165 of Scottish Planner.

Since the election, we have been using this manifesto to engage with both returned and new MSPs; this process will continue across the summer.

In support of our seven key policy issues, we are also preparing concise and accessible background papers providing supporting evidence for each issue. A number of these papers are now available via the links below.
