The RTPI is celebrating the success of planners who are leading the profession in creating great places to live and work. The success of our profession is due to the hard work, dedication and professionalism of our members. RTPI President Colin Haylock has launched the Planning Leaders Awards to celebrate members who are leading and inspiring the profession, creating the places of tomorrow.
The standard overall of the submissions was outstanding and therefore the judges decided to award the Planning Leaders Northern Ireland jointly to two receipients in Northern Ireland and Colin presented their Awards on the Belfast Barge during his visit to Northern Ireland in October.
The worthy receipients are: Mary MacIntyre, of the DOE and past Chair of RTPI NI and Malachy McEldowney of Queens University Belfast, who are pictured left, with David Brown, Chair of RTPI NI (far left) and Colin Haylock, RTPI President (far right).
The awards were open to any RTPI member who can demonstrate outstanding leadership in the field of planning.
