RTPI North West

We provide a range of services for our members in the North West. As well as offering affordable seminars and events for professional development, we arrange social events, keep you up to date through newsletters and provide local information and networking opportunities.

  • RTPI North West Golf Day 2014

    This year's event is taking place at Mottram Hall in Cheshire on Tuesday 2nd September.  See here for details.

    To include:

    • Registration and tea/coffee & bacon rolls on arrival at 10.00 am
    • Tee off at 11.15 am
    • Stableford Competition
    • 18 holes of golf on a championship course

  • RTPI North West Annual Dinner

    This year's CENTENARY dinner will be held at The Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Friday 3rd October.  Guest speaker George Clarke.

  • 5-a-side Football Tournament 2014

    This year’s event took place on Saturday 10 May at Bolton Powerleague again.  9 teams took part in the tournament and URS Manchester took home the trophy having beat Nexus Planning on penalties in the final.   Best Player went to Andy Johnston playing for Nexus Planning and Best Keeper to Mike Hughes from URS.  Thanks to all who took part and also to our faithful sponsor WYG.

  • Indigo Planning awarded overall winner for RTPI NW Planning Achievement Awards

    32 entries received for this year’s awards.  We are pleased to announce the overall winner is ‘On the Banks, Burnley’ submitted by Indigo Planning.  To find out more about the scheme and other category winners, click here


  • RTPI NW Student Competition

    As part of the celebration of the RTPI’s Centenary Year, schools across the North West were invited to enter a competition looking at ‘Tomorrow’s City’.  The competition encouraged young people from across the region to consider how they would plan for a new city for the next 100 years.

    The winning prize of an iPad mini was presented to Marianne Chappell at Wilmslow High School on 9th May.  Aimee Freegard from St Ninian’s High School on the Isle of Man won second prize and joint third place was Caragh Maddrell, also of St Ninian’s High School and Melissa Woodhams of Turton High School in Bolton.  Commendations went to Reuben Taylor of Turton High School and Reuben Stables of Trinity Sixth Form School in Carlisle.

  • AGM 2014/Members Reception

    This year's AGM will take place in the Baronial Hall at Chetham's School of Music, Manchester starting at 3pm.  We will commence the event with AGM business, awards presentations, then there will be talks on City Centre Transport: Looking Forward, followed by walking tours.

    Members are then invited back to Chetham's School of Music for our Centenary Members Reception where you can network with friends and colleagues and enjoy drinks and canapes.
