Charlotte ColverCharlotte Colver BSc(Hons), MPhil, CMLI and Associate Member of the RTPI is currently a Planning Officer (Spatial Policy and Delivery) for Northumberland County Council following a previous dual role as Forward Planning / Landscape Officer for Alnwick District Council.  Planning experience includes LDF policy and editorial work for Alnwick and Northumberland Core Strategies; Sustainability Appraisals and Evidence Base studies; comment on national / local policies and  planning applications; 'regional' environmental  partnership working; LDF monitoring and engagement; and Planning Link Officer duties for a frontrunner Neighbourhood Plan. 

A strategic approach to spatial policy and environment is based on a career as a Landscape Architect, including urban and rural design and planning input for City of Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian and Scottish Borders Councils; Sole Principal of landscape consultancy, Exterior Design; policy advice for Scottish Landowners' Federation and lecturing in Environment & Conservation for Borders College. A short spell in Gateshead’s landscape team, designing and delivering Saltwell Park’s play areas and lake restoration was followed by a few years as Wansbeck’s Parks & Landscape Officer, which included setting up Parks Friends Groups and Doorstep Greens in deprived wards, before joining Alnwick District as a Planner.
