The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has been charged by the Government with launching a series of Regional Hubs to promote Building Information Modelling (BIM).
The first event in a national series of free regional events is to be held in Newcastle on 25 September (2pm – 5pm). To book your free place, go to www.cic.org.uk/events . If you have any queries contact BIMhubs@cic.org.uk .
The sessions will explain the Government’s BIM policy, illustrated with local examples, and provide an opportunity for all the relevant construction professions, including planners, to network.
The BIM Hubs will raise awareness of the benefits of BIM and facilitate the early adoption of BIM processes and working methods throughout the UK’s construction industry. The RTPI is involved in the CIC at both national and regional levels, and is encouraging interested members to attend these free events to find out more.
