The Olympics may be good news for some towns and cities, where investment is being concentrated. But are the rest of us getting a raw deal? Speakers will look at planning for sport and then at the more traditional planning topics of open space, recreation and leisure, but as now wrapped up in green infrastructure (GI). PPG17 was published in 2002 and is up for review. We will have a look at how it has fared as a framework for policy and practice and what might replace it. Biodiversity and flood control will get a mention too and we will wrap it all up with a progress report on green infrastructure plans of various sorts.
Here you will find the papers for each of the speakers - you should download the papers and bring them with you on the day 'please review the documents before 'deciding what to print. We encourage the use of electronic devices to save of the printing costs, if using this method please bring your charger.
May we take this opportunity to remind you, that papers are for use of delegates and copyright laws apply. Some of the presentations are very large with lots of photo's you may wish to review before you print.
