Regional Committees

Nominations for 2018

At the close of nominations on 17 November 2017, there remains vacancies on the Regional Management Board and on the Regional Activities Committee for 2018.

We would be very pleased to hear from RTPI Members in the East of England who are interested in getting involved with RTPI matters in the Region, including helping to organise CPD events, assisting with the Regional Award for Planning Excellence, organising social and CPD events for Young Planners, and contributing to policy and research topics and consultations.

Please contact Wendy Hague, the Regional Chair for 2017, for more information or an informal chat.

Regional Management Board

The Regional Management Board  is responsible for the governance of the Region. This enables the RTPI Executive Board to satisfy themselves and the Charity Commissioners that the actions of the Institute and its Regions are demonstrably accountable.

The Regional Management Board consists of: Regional Chair, Regional Senior Vice Chair, Regional Junior Vice Chair, Regional Honorary Secretary, Regional Honorary Treasurer, Regional Immediate Past Chair, Regional Representative on the General Assembly and Regional Assistant Secretary.  In 2017, past Chair and Communications Officer was co-opted for one year.

Regional Activities Committee

The Regional Management Board is supported by a Regional Activities Committee (RAC) which, as its name implies, assists with the activities arranged by and for the Members of the Region.

The East of England Regional Activities Committee consists of 24 Chartered members (including the Regional Management Board), 1 Associate member and 5 Student/Licentiate members.
