  • RTPI East of England Regional Chair 2013

Peter Warner is Chair of the RTPI East of England for 2013.

His theme is 'Support Your RTPI - It Is Here For You and Your Professional Development'.

Peter says: "My challenge, as Chair for 2013, is to get us all engaged (or re-engaged) with our own professional development and participation in the Institute - our Institute. I regard it as a great privilege to be nominated as Chair of the RTPI East of England. Over the years, I was given the incentive by my employer to be engaged with the Institute - provided I got the day job done. It has given me a freedom to work on projects that as a young planner I would never have dreamed of - but it happened for me and it can happen to all of us provided we have the vision to succeed whatever the difficulty or setbacks.

  • East of England Planning Achievement Award

If you were unable to enter the 2013 RTPI National Award but feel that your project would inspire and showcase planning in the East of England, why not enter the Regional Award for 2013?

The aim is to celebrate the contribution made by the planning profession to the quality of life, to raise awareness and understanding of pioneering work, and to highlight exceptional examples of planning and to inspire others to achieve the same high standards.

The winners in 2012 were Essex County Council and the RSPB for "The Wallasea Island Wild Coast Project".

Why not enter the RTPI East of England Award now? Closing date: 19 April 2013

Closing date for quiz: 30 April 2013
