North Wales Chapter: Landscape Impact

This North Wales Chapter event looked at the landscape impact of development and the techniques and principles of how to assess it. It had a particualr focus on wind turbines and cumulative impacts of multiple small developments.

The presentations are available below for download:

  • Richard Sumner, Wrexham CBC - who focused on the landscape joint working initiative being undertaken by Denbighshire and Conwy and also provided an insight on the application of Wrexham’s landscaping and industrial development SPG;
  • Jonathan Cawley of West Coast Energy provided a private sector view on their approach to wind turbine development; and
  • Jon Stoddard of Capita Symonds who presented on landscape assessment techniques and his experience in dealing with landscape assessment at public inquiries.
