Events

RTPI Cymru organises a programme of events throughout the year to offer CPD opportunities and the chance to meet with fellow planners in a more social environment.

Standing events during the year include: the RTPI Cymru Spring Conference, held in north Wales during the spring focused on a specific topic; the annual Wales Planning Conference is held in Cardiff in May / June each year, including the social networking event the evening before; and a seminar is held each year to celebrate the National Eisteddfod this of course is held wherever the National Eisteddfod is being held.

Each November, RTPI Cymru holds an Annual Dinner providing the opportunity to celebrate planning and the profession, including the Award of the annual Wales Planning Award.

RTPI Cymru is also keen to work jointly with other organisations to hold events of common interest. For example in 2012, RTPI Cymru and the RSAW (Royal Society of Architects Wales) and the LIW (Landscape Institute Wales) are holding a joint seminar to discuss Development Management.
