5. The role of trees in development: BNG and beyond
The BNG has progressively evolved to better account for trees in new development: while hedgerow and woodland fare relatively well, the accounting of urban trees remains relatively problematic. Here, other policy tools are desirable to achieve good outcomes. The talk will illustrate with project and policy examples.
