RURAL PLANNING - 8th September 2010, Dartington Hall, Totnes - With huge emphasis placed on development associated with the South West’s urban areas – do we have a positive national and regional vision for sustaining rural areas? Our guest speakers will endeavour to answer this question and look at local solutions. With climate change at the heart of the profession, consideration will also be given to opportunities to deliver new forms of rural development – inspired by the granting of the LAMMAS development in Presseli, Wales. See attached booking form for further details.
CLIMATE CHANGE, Delivering Essential Waste, Energy & Flood Management Infrastructure - 15th October 2010, Eden Project, St Austell - With the recent announcement of a geothermal renewable energy scheme, we are delighted that the Eden Project will play host to this conference. Our excellent range of guest speakers will bring you up to speed on the scale of the challenge, assessment methods, current best practice, technological innovation and design. We’ll look at the drivers behind delivering new infrastructure and just what makes it so essential! With the IPC based in the SW Region, we will also seek an insight into how it is dealing with Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. See attached booking form for further details.
PLANNING SUPPORT STAFF WORKSHOPS - 27th September (Taunton) and 24th November (Plymouth) - Following on from the success of the last two years events, two further workshops have been arranged covering 3 topics identified as ones of interest to planning support staff; registration and validation, LDFs and planning policy and planning legislation simplified!
