RTPI North West
RTPI North West promotes planning as a profession and builds links with other built environment professions and organisations throughout the North West. We offer members a programme of affordable seminars and events to assist with their continuing professional development requirements, and also publish a regular newsletter for members.
Over 2,200 planners from central, regional and local government, private consultancies, the education sector and other organisations are members of RTPI North West. We welcome the views and opinions of all our members, and we are always looking for volunteers to help with running our programmes.
For more information on how to get involved in RTPI North West, please see the contact details at the bottom of this page.

Five-a-Side Football Tournament
The now annual Five-a-Side football event is scheduled to take place on Saturday 22nd May 2010 and Bolton Arena, Lostock. The event sponsored by WYG is open to squads of up to 7 players and includes a buffet lunch. Details can be found on the Flyer and a booking for is also available to download here.
The last event took place at Bolton Arena on Saturday 3rd October. Although cold, wet and windy, nine teams battled through the tournament resulting in a victory for Aecom 1 who has won in the past. NJL Consulting were runners up with Real Blackburn and WYG taking third and fourth places. Best Player was awarded to Adrian Fox of WYG (who was suffering a serious hangover from the RTPI annual dinner!) and Best Keeper went to Chris Carr from Aecom 1. Congratulations to all players and many thanks to our sponsors Planning Aid and WYG.
Promotion - Young Planners
The North West Young Planners (NWYP) would like to ask for your help this month in promoting the Young Planners. We have some 1,400 planners in the north west region and we would like to encourage as many to join the NWYP distribution lists as possible. If you want to volunteer or are interested in attending events please contact Jamie Birtles. The more people we have attending events, the easier it is to get sponsorship.
