RTPI-CIH Planning for Housing Network

CIH

Welcome to the new Network!                                                                     Planning%20for%20Housing%20Network%20Launch

Launched on Friday 7th November the new RTPI-CIH Planning for Housing Network is an expanded Network that will offer a wider membership and more opportunities for collaboration. John Callcutt CBE kindly launched the Network during the proceedings of the 6th Annual Housing & Construction Conference; this was itself a joint event between the London Branches of the CIH, CIOB, RIBA, RICS, RTPI & ROOMatRTPI. In launching the new Joint Network John Callcutt noted how timely it was that the RTPI & CIH were showing a collaborative route to meeting the many challenges faced by those determined to meet housing needs in the most sustainable and innovative ways. His own Callcutt Report demonstrated the need for and benefits from lasting collaborations and closer working.

The Planning for Housing Network aims to influence planning policies in the area of housing and to press decision-makers to address current housing-related issues effectively. Members of the network play an important part in developing policy, knowledge and good practice.

Ways of getting involved

As a ‘club’ of active members, we rely on their voluntary input. We encourage members to submit information for inclusion in our email bulletin, to host small member events, and to promote dialogue and discussion. Items for the email bulletin might include news and information on research projects, events and good practice, or requests for information from other members to help you in your work. Please send brief items for inclusion in the email bulletin to housing@rtpi.org.uk
