Planning Aid England has an enviable reputation for independence and impartiality stretching back more than 35 years.

We exist partly to encourage public participation in the planning system so we are pleased to be asked to comment on planning issues that have direct relevance to our clients, such as:

  • How communities can influence planning policy
  • Householder development
  • Planning applications
  • How the appeals process works
  • Resolving neighbour disputes
  • The practical implications of changes to planning legislation

As a non-political organisation we do not comment on issues relating to planning policy.

We also prefer to remain neutral on the merits of specific projects and cannot comment on issues which may provide commercial advantage or disadvantage to a third party.
