Have your say

Planning decisions can really affect the areas in which you live, work and play. So it's important you understand what is being planned, how you can have your say, and how you can come up with your own ideas.

Its this community involvement that is key to good planning. Our dedicated community planners work with you to help you understand your opportunities and rights within the planning system, and how best to communicate your views.

Independent advice

We are an independent source of professional advice and information available to groups and individuals who cannot afford to pay professional fees.

Planning Aid is also often asked by Local Planning Authorities, regeneration agencies and other voluntary sector groups to help with consultation on specific plans or projects. We are not part of central or local government.
