Student members who are in the final year of their RTPI accredited course can apply for free membership by completing the appropriate form.
The earliest that free membership can be claimed is from 1 October. The free membership extends until 31 December of the following year. A reimbursement of subscription will be due if the member has already fully paid their current year subscription. The subscription year runs between 1 January to 31 December and the reimbursement is calculated on a pro-rata basis based on the number of whole months from the date of transfer to free membership.
A free student member may still have an amount to pay if their subscription for the first part of the year as a fee paying member is unpaid.
If the student member is ineligible for free membership, they could still claim a reduced subscription.
