Late payment of subscription

Subscriptions not paid on time will incur a late payment charge which is currently £25.00. The Subscriptions Team will only remove the charge if it can be demonstrated to it that there is an administrative error on its part or the member has simply not sent in a Reduced Subscription Claim Form.

Non-Direct Debit subscription notices will ordinarily show the date by which payment must be paid to avoid the late payment charge.  This date is normally the last day of the month, two months after the invoice date.

Before a £25.00 charge is added a late payment reminder will be sent by post and by email where a valid email address has been given.

Quite often, where members have paid a reduced subscription a reminder is sent.  This is because a Reduced Subscription Claim Form may not have been received by the Subscriptions Team.

If the subscription balance has still not been paid by the date given in the first reminder then the £25.00 late payment charge will be added.  A final reminder will give the final date for payment. After this date, the member will be deleted from the Register of Members for non-payment of subscription.
