Training & CPD
The built environment is undergoing a period of exciting change and innovation, which creates challenges and demands on all experts in the field. These challenges require new skills and proficiencies as well as maintaining good levels of knowledge and expertise.
All professional bodies require that their members fulfil a mandatory period of professional development to ensure standards remain high and in its turn, the RTPI is committed to providing accessible and affordable routes to learning to help its members achieve their required hours of CPD.
Attending events and conferences are one way of achieving your CPD objectives – in this section, you will find other successful and enjoyable ways of interacting with other professionals and increasing your knowledge base.
The RTPI ANNUAL CONVENTION
The 2007 Planning Convention is the seminal planning event organised by the RPTI. It is three intense, yet enjoyable days of learning, sharing and networking with planners and other built environment professionals. The Planning Convention provides the forum for planners to discuss the very latest recommendations from Barker, Stern and the other reviews which will feature in the upcoming Planning White Paper. No other seminars or meetings allow you to explore the spatiality of these issues in full - both during the plenary sessions and workshops, and over dinner and drinks in the restaurants and bars of Central London.
