Common log in queries

Members were notified of their RTPI website password when the new website was launched in June 2012. If you have joined the Institute after this date you will have received your website login details in your joining letter.

When you login for the first time you will be required to change your password and to answer a secret question which will be used as additional security if you forget your details in the future.

Please check your membership number and try again. If you are still receiving the message, but are entering your number correctly, it may be that the system is experiencing extremely high levels of demand. In this case, please try logging in at a later point. If you continue to have problems email login@rtpi.org.uk with as much detail about the issue as possible.

You will receive this error message if you are entering your login details incorrectly. Please check your username and password and try again. If you are unsure what your password is you can reset it by clicking here.

The email is sent to the default contact email address that the RTPI holds for you, as displayed when you request the email. You do have the option to specify an alternative address when you request the email.

If you cannot see the email in your inbox, please check your junk mail or trash folders. Sometimes email clients such as Hotmail will mistake the email for spam.

Passwords must be between 6 and 9 characters long, and must contain at least one letter and at least one number). Please ensure that your new password meets these requirements.

Your answer to the secret question will be used as additional security if you forget your password.
