Neighbourhood planning regulations now published
The RTPI responded to the DCLG consultation on the Neighbourhood Planning regulations, see the RTPI response here (pdf, 128kb).
We held two events in Birmingham and London in conjunction with Planning Aid England and DCLG to publicise the consultation and seek views.
We've also looked at existing tools for neighbourhood planning, with examples provided by members, as part of our Localism Act work.
Planning Aid England is extensively involved in Neighbourhood Planning and is advising a number of communities on the concept. It is part of the consortium led by Locality, which launched in May a new £9.5m programme of expert support and funding to help communities across England to create neighbourhood plans.
