Overcoming rural, urban and cross-border development challenges

UK ESPON Contact Point workshop, 23 November 2012

Richard Blyth and Cliff HagueThe workshop discussed some of the challenges facing urban and rural England, and considered issues at national and cross-border level. A synthesis of ESPON project findings relating to urban development in England was presented, highlighting projects such as TIGER, FOCI and CAEE. A session on rural challenges highlighted projects including PURR and EDORA, which will be used to inform a synthesis report on ESPON findings in relation to rural England.
