UK ESPON Contact Point event London 2011UK ESPON Contact Point event, 24 September 2012

The UK ESPON Contact Point is holding its first event in Wales on 24 September 2012.

The workshop will take place in Cardiff from 10:00am to 4:30pm, and will highlight some of the findings from the ESPON 2013 Programme and consider how they can be used in policy-making in Wales.

A number of ESPON projects with a Welsh focus will be discussed, including two new projects, ECR2 and TOWNS, covering issues such as economic resilience, innovation, and the development potentials of rural areas as well as small and medium-sized towns.

Confirmed speakers so far include Adrian Healy (Cardiff University), Ian Smith (UWE), Neil Adams (LSBU) and Cliff Hague (UK ESPON Contact Point).

The event is free to attend, but places are limited. Please complete the registration form below and return it to research@rtpi.org.uk by 14 September 2012 if you would like to attend.
