Planning for growth what can we learn from Europe?
There still places available at the UK ESPON Contact Points Planning for growth conference. The event is being held in London on 30 September 2011 and will bring together policy-makers, practitioners and researchers to discuss how planning can enable growth, and how outputs from the ESPON Programme can be used to support planning and inform decision-making.
The draft programme is now available on the conference web page along with background reading and related links. If you would like to attend, please complete and return the registration form by 19 September 2011.
ESPON Partner finding
The latest ESPON Call opened on 24 August. The ESPON Partner Café facilitates partner finding and the creation of transnational project groups. The ESPON Partner Café LinkedIn group allows potential partners to discuss the call and find other interested parties.
If you are interested in participating in the call, and would like us to include you on our Partner Finding web pages and pass your details to the rest of the ESPON Contact Point network, email your contact details and the project you are interested in to research@rtpi.org.uk. It is also useful to indicate whether you are interested in being a lead partner.
We have already had expressions of interest from the Czech Republic, Italy, Ireland, Belgium, Hungary, Cyprus and Switzerland. Information on these potential partners is shown on our Partner Finding web pages.
