By its very nature planning is often concerned with the resolution of conflict. This can create tensions which may affect personal behaviour; it can engender an adversarial feeling of 'them and us', and as a result can create aggressive attitudes. Personal safety is a responsibility shared by the employer, the manager and the individual member of staff. Taking care of yourself and your colleagues is the basis of all good work practice and helps to improve the service offered to clients.
