The Young Planners network holds an annual conference every October. The 2012 Young Planners Conference was held in London. The 2013 conference will be held in Leeds, 11th-12th October 2013.

RTPI London Young Planners Conference 2012
Held in London on 25th to 27th October, the 2012 Young Planners Conference centred around the theme Planning: Striking a balance. Supported by headline sponsors Waterman, Drivers Jonas Deloitte and WYG, the two day sell out conference consisted of interesting presentations, workshops, study tours and an informative Pecha Kucha session.
Speakers included Steve Quartermain, Chief Planner for Communities and Local Government, Trudi Elliot CBE, Chief Executive of the RTPI, and Sir Edward Lister, Deputy Mayor of London. The wide array of speakers explored new approaches to overcoming the host of challenges we are currently facing and how the role of a planner has never been more important in 'striking a balance'.
