Events

We'd love to hear from you

PIPA events are tailored to our members interests, and we often develop events in response to suggestions and offers from members. Our events range from simple lunchtime meetings for sharing practice information, to one-day events covering topics of special interest.

Andrew Matheson the Network Manager will be very pleased to receive your ideas and suggestions.

Below are details of some of the recent Network events offered to Members, the content of which may be of interest - and may spark further ideas too! PIPA's Annual Conference has its own webpage.

PIPA at the Planning Convention 2011

PIPA hosted an exceptionally well attended workshop titled Bottom-up planning more or less democratic? Richard Humphreys QC and Cllr Conor McAuley from LB Newham outlined the issues from their respective viewpoints and invited discussion of the potential benefits and barriers to democratic decision-making for local planning. One of the presentations from the Convention can be viewed here and a note of the session is available here.
