About the network
13-Dec-06
Development plans are at the heart of planning activity. Ongoing planning reforms in the UK and Ireland and the raft of supporting guidance has resulted in significant changes to the development planning system.
The current environment is extremely challenging and exciting for development planners, making communication critical. There are always examples of good practice, but it often takes too long for this to good practice to become standard practice.
The network aims to promote examples of good practice and actively engage with its membership over the development planning systems in each jurisdiction, providing a useful resource for sharing and disseminating information. We endeavour to help members make best use of the new development planning system and to encourage members from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales to ensure a wider sharing of information and learning.
We have a steering group and a network manager who work to an annual action plan and develop the Network. Find out more about the Network Steering Group and Network Manager
