APC%20hand%20key%20 Membership of the RTPI Development Management Network is currently free of charge and offers a great range of benefits and opportunities

Development management (formally development control) is an important function within the planning profession. It represents the frontline of planning and employs many thousands of planners in both the public and private sectors.

The Development Management Network was launched in November 2006 and is an active and responsive network of members who exchange information, expertise and knowledge. Since its launch the Network has played an increasingly important role in advising and influencing Institute policy.  The Networks main focus is the change from development control to development management.

What the Network offers

The service offered to Network members includes:

  • A regular e-mail bulletin.
  • A voice in influencing the RTPI and other key decision makers.
  • Virtual networking opportunities.
  • Free of charge or low cost events.
  • Support and encouragement in your professional activities.

How to join

To become a member, You must first have registered on this website. Register here.

Once this has been done - 'Join here!' - by clicking on this link and requesting access a message is sent to the Network Manager who will respond to you by email. (Non-RTPI members may be asked to supply additional information.)
