27-Apr-07
The RTPI Research Strategy 2007 confirms our five priority research areas in 2007:
Spatial Planning in practice
- An evidence base for a UK Spatial Planning Framework
- Effective practice in spatial planning
- Housing an Ageing Population
Evaluating spatial planning
Healthy Environments
The RTPI is supporting this EPSRC funded project to promote knowledge transfer from research into adaptation to climate change in the built environment. The programme promotes networking and other activities on topics of shared importance. It also aims to develop a coherent user-led plan for future research into the impacts of climate change and development of adaptation solutions.
Inclusive Decision–making
Planning Skills
The delivery of spatial planning and its sustainability capacity will depend on the vitality and capacity of the planning community in terms of knowledge and skills. This is a core area of concern for the RTPI in promoting the New Vision.
