Community Planning Project

The aim of the RTPI’s Community Planning Project is to help develop the mainstream practice of community planning, which is needed if we are to create more inclusive and sustainable communities.This project is intended to benefit practitioners and complement the work of Planning Aid.
Whilst the Project focuses on the English planning and governance structures much of the work and many of issues can be applied else where.

Project Management
The project commenced in January 2005 and will receive funding from the UK Government’s Communities and Local Government (CLG) department until April 2008. The project is managed by the RTPI’s Community Planning Officer.
