The Scottish Government in association with RTPI in Scotland runs the annual Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning (SAQP).  The Awards have been run since 1997 and are made in recognition of outstanding work by or within planning authorities, community organisations and other bodies.

Stephen Granger - winner of 2009 JMBT AwardJim Boyack Memorial Trust

The Jim Boyack Memorial Trust was established in 1991 in memory of James Boyack, a Senior Vice Convenor of RTPI in Scotland.  Each year an Award is given to a student attending an RTPI-accredited course offered by one of the planning schools in Scotland. Email the Trust for further details or contact the Trust at 20 Holyrood Crescent, Glasgow G20 6HJ.

RTPI in Scotland Best Student Award

The RTPI in Scotland presents an annual Best Student Award to each of the planning schools in Scotland - for further information contact RTPI in Scotland.

   

Peter Suttie Award

An annual award is made in memory of Peter Suttie, former Director of Planning and Development with Aberdeenshire Council.  It is aimed at young graduate planners working in Scotland and those studying for an accredited qualification at a Scottish university or college. The system for this Award is currently being re-organised - contact RTPI Scotland for further information.
