Positioning urban Scotland in its European context - What can we learn about benchmarking?
14-May-12
An ESPON-INTERSTRAT Project Conference
Edinburgh, 30 March 2012
This free one-day conference focused on emergent Scottish urban development and planning in the context of findings about cities in general, and Scottish urban regions in particular, in the work of the ESPON 2013 Programme.
The conference provided a unique opportunity for focused dialogue between practitioners and researchers from Scotland and elsewhere in Europe. The recent announcement of the Agenda for Cities and the new orientation of Cohesion Policy post-2013 made this a timely opportunity to connect Scotland and the EU's main territorial development observatory.
